Sick of Life

I have a good excuse for my recent absence, I swear!! Well, if you've read my other posts you know that I'm a procrastinator, so there's no need to elaborate on that. Anyway, aside from real life being a pain with my parents threatening to take my youngest cat away (really heart-breaking, but I don't think it'll be happening any more), and my mom starting getting more contracts for her catering business (I kinda have to help with that), weather changes that are killing me (usually cold, then suddenly really hot), and on Wednesday I came down with a cold that left me stuck in bed. I feeling a lot better now, though not completely over it.

My writing career is up in limbo at the moment, which is also killing me. I wasn't able to write that article so I sent my wonderful instructor an email. And when that, for some unknown reason, wasn't delivered to her, I sent her a letter in the mail. I explained that I want to continue with the course, but I can't do that one assignment. I have yet to hear back from her.

I've been doing a bit of fanfic writing lately. Anyone watch Digimon? Well you really should. It's an anime show and probably designed more for older kids/younger teens, but in my defence, I was eleven when I started watching. I'm still really addicted to it. I haven't seen the fifth season as it is currently airing for the first time. The first two seasons were my favorite - who can resist TK and Kari? ^_^ So ... this fic I'm writing is a Digimon one. It's really funny and has new digidestined and an adventure and stuff. I might post the link when I'm finished. I'm working on the fifth chapter right now.

Role-playing isn't going so well. I'm currently a part of two rpg sites but ... well, I haven't been on Some Things Never Change in about a week, probably more. And I'm really angry at myself for that. But real life has to be the number one priority, right? The other site is Twin Flames - have I mentioned it before? - It's a great site, really. Amazing plot, good characters, nice people. At the moment I only have two accounts there, with two more thought up. I play Harry Potter's fiancee, though they've only just met (the Ministry is forcing them to marry). And I love the girl playing Harry. Theta is really great. She's an excellent writer; she give so many details in her posts ... I wish I could do that. But I say she's an excellent writer, not role-player.

Personally, I don't understand when role-players say they're not writers, but that's what you're doing! You're getting inside the head of a character and controlling their actions and feelings and history. That's writing. So, in my mind, all role-players are writers - but not all writers are role-players. You see, to be a good role-player you need to be able to work off of the opposite rp-er's actions and dialogue, and then add your own for them to work off of. Unfortunately, not a lot of people follow this rule. I've had to work with a lot of people who wouldn't give me anything to go off of, which only made my posts harder to write and therefore shorter. Questions are a great way to fill space in a post, and interact with the other character too. If only more people would learn to ask more questions in a post, these rpgs might last a little longer.

Anyway, I'm avoiding going back to Twin Flames because of this problem. Childish, I know, but I really just don't know how much more I have to contribute to a rp before people get the hint.

That's all the ranting my brain will let me do right now. I'm going to do some more writing now. Bye-bye.
