Monday the 13th

Mood: energetic
Currently Listening to: "Dream Police" by Cheap Trick *turns radio up*
As promised earlier, I'm back to talk about the dumbest horror/drama movie I've ever seen. Children of the Corn is a close second, by the way.
1408 is the name of a movie featuring John Cusack and practically no one else. John plays a character who travels all over the states, staying at hotels to see if they're haunted like they advertise they are. When the movie starts he has yet to find a truly haunted house, and doesn't believe in such a thing anyway. And as we find out later, his young daughter died a year or two ago and he has yet to speak to his wife since he left their home in New York.
Then one day he gets a postcard from a hotel in New York, the Dolphin. It says "Don't go into room 1408." So he decides to go check it out. First off, he finds out that there have been about ten deaths in the room. Then he speaks to the hotel manager who tells him that there have been dozens more. The manager even gives him a file filled with information about each death in hopes of preventing him from staying the night in the room. But it doesn't matter. John still thinks the whole thing is a hoax, so he goes in anyway.
Immediately things start happening. Things I can't really talk about otherwise I'll become more creeped out than I already am. Amazingly I didn't have nightmares from this movie, even though I went to bed right after I watched this. It was really stupid. I mean, I still don't know how it all started, or if it ended. But I can blame my mom for suggesting we watch it right before bed. So ... at least it wasn't my fault. ^_^
xoxo,
Lizzy
